Shanon Lee
As a child, I was afforded the opportunity to do everything from attend clam bakes on coastal property in Maine to vacation at resorts in Montego Bay. A Navy brat, I learned to adapt in locations as diverse as Cuba and acquired the skills needed to effectively communicate with people from various backgrounds. My parents placed as much emphasis on providing access to rich cultural experiences as they did on education. Nicknamed “the one with city sophistication” by southern relatives, my Mother personally instilled in me the importance of manners and proper protocol.
As an adult, my enlistment in the Air Force provided a comparable experience. Following the code of conduct, learning proper protocol and showing respect is essential for survival and success in the military. When my enlistment ended, I transitioned employees through the retirement process for different clients as a Human Resources Associate. After deciding to pursue a degree in Human Resources, I worked my way through college as a Teaching Assistant for the Autistic Childrens Program. Though challenging, it proved to be one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever held. During this time, I discovered my desire and skill for nurturing children. After earning my degree, I worked as Assistant to the Human Resources Director. My responsibilities included: recruiting employees, leading wellness workshops and counseling employees involved in workplace conflicts. My education and experience in HR enable me to impart critical information to our youth entering the workforce.
Now, as a Mom and entrepreneur, I have drawn on my life experiences to offer my services to you. I’ve completed an etiquette training certification program designed to be FUN, not just educational. As a result, I offer instruction that is contemporary, relevant and specialized for children. (2 years ago)
